Join me to learn how to trace, transfer and embroider your own children's drawings.
The perfect way to treasure the most special drawings for years to come.
Recommended Age
The recommended age for this activity is 7 years plus. Evidently, the younger the child the more help they will need from their grown-up. However, you might just choose to have your child draw the design and you embroider it for them. All my classes are suitable for anyone keen to learn how to sew their own designs.
Description
During this Class, you will learn-
- How to trace the bits of the drawing you want to use
- How to transfer a design from paper to fabric
- How to use an embroidery hoop for stitching your design
- How to sew a Back Stitch
- How to sew a Satin Stitch
- How to sew a French Knot
- How to cast off your stitches
- How to remove the heat erasable pen once your sewing is complete
- How to frame the finished piece in the Hoop (Optional)

If you just wish to purchase the online class, you will need the following equipment and materials to complete the projects-
- Access to a Printer/ Photocopier (Optional)
- Copy of the Original Drawing
- 1 x Sheet of A4 Tracing Paper (or Greaseproof Paper is an option)
- Heat Erasable Pen (or pencil and rubber is an option)
- Piece of Cotton Fabric (Sized to suit your drawing)
- 5 inch Embroidery Hoop (or one sized to suit your drawing)
- Embroidery Threads (Various Colours)
- Needle (Blunt/ Tapestry recommended)
- Needle Threader (Optional)
- Scissors
- Iron
