Course Summary
Join me to learn how to design and sew your own Emoji Heart Decorations using only upcycled fabric from old clothes or school uniform.
The perfect introduction to sewing your own cute designs!
Recommended Age
The recommended age for this activity is 7 years plus. Evidently, the younger the child, the more help they will need from their grown-up. However, you might just choose to have your child draw the design and you embroider it for them. All my classes are suitable for anyone keen to learn how to sew their own designs.
Description
During this Class, you will learn-
- How to create your own embroidery patterns
- How to transfer a design from paper to fabric
- How to use an embroidery hoop for stitching your design
- How to thread a needle and tie a knot
- How to sew a Running Stitch
- How to sew a Back Stitch
- How to sew a Satin Stitch
- How to cast off your stitches
- How to cut out, stuff and sew your finished design together
- How to remove the heat erasable pen once your sewing is complete

If you just wish to purchase the online class, you will need the following equipment and materials to complete the project-
- Access to a Printer
- 1 x Sheet of A4 White Paper (To print the Design Sheet)
- Cereal Box (To Cut for your Fabric Templates)
- 1 x Heat Erasable Pen
- Pre-Loved Cotton Shirts or School Uniform
- 4 inch Embroidery Hoop
- Embroidery Threads (Various Colours)
- Needle (Size 18 Tapestry Needle recommended for thin fabrics. Size 18 Chenille Needle recommended for thick fabrics)
- Needle Threader (Optional)
- Scissors
- Iron
