How to Design & Embroider your own Christmas Tree Decorations
Course Summary
Join me through a series of online video tutorials to learn how to design and embroider your own tree decorations from the comfort of your own home. Choose to draw a festive picture of your own, or trace one of my Christmas themed designs and write your name or year underneath to make it uniquely yours.
Recommended Age
The recommended age for children doing this activity is 6 years plus. Evidently, the younger the child, the more help they will need from their grown-up. However, you might just choose to have your child draw the design and you embroider it for them. All my classes are suitable for anyone keen to learn how to sew their own designs.
Description
During the Online Class you will learn-
- How to draw your own embroidery designs on paper
- How to transfer your drawing from paper to fabric
- How to use an embroidery hoop for stitching your design
- How to thread a needle using a needle threader
- How to sew a simple back stitch
- How to sew a satin stitch (optional)
- How to sew a star stitch (optional)
- How to cast off a stitch
- How to back your finished design with felt
- How to sew your fabric up at the back ready for hanging
If you have purchased the Christmas Decoration Embroidery Kit & Online Class, you will be provided with your own Embroidery Kit containing Design Sheets, Transfer Paper, 2 x 4 Inch Embroidery Hoops, 3 x Pieces of Fabric, 2 x Pieces of Felt, 2 x Needles, 1 x Needle Threader and 16 x Embroidery Threads. All presented in an A4 size Kraft Box so you can keep all your embroidery kit safely together.
